At ARD, accessibility and reasonable accommodation are fundamental to creating an inclusive society where refugees with disabilities can fully participate. To reinforce this commitment, we are developing a Reasonable Accommodation and Accessibility Policy to enhance advocacy for accessible services, facilities, and programs in refugee settlements and urban areas.
With funding from UN Women under the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund, ARD is hiring a consultant to lead the development of this policy. The consultant will work closely with ARD’s management and stakeholders to:
✔️ Conduct research and analyze existing policies
✔️ Facilitate discussions on accessibility challenges and solutions
✔️ Draft and refine a detailed policy framework
✔️ Train ARD staff and partners on reasonable accommodation principles
✔️ Organize a validation meeting for final approval
We encourage experienced professionals in disability rights, policy development, and inclusive governance to apply. The consultancy will last 20 working days, and applications must be submitted by 6th February 2025.
