To be eligible for this volunteer opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Recommendation letters: One from the Zone leader where you reside and one from your current or former employer within the refugee settlement. Clearance from OPM is also accepted.

  • Bank Account: Applicants must have a registered bank account (SACCO accounts are not accepted), along with TIN and NSSF numbers.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English is required, along with the ability to speak and translate at least two different local dialects spoken in Nakivale. Kiswahili or Somali is mandatory.

  • Gain meaningful experience working with refugees and people with disabilities.
  • Contribute to community-building initiatives and humanitarian efforts.
  • Develop leadership, communication, and coordination skills in a real-world setting.
